HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a nationally recognised training that provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond to first aid emergencies in accordance with guidelines issued by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other relevant Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This course applies to individuals who may be required to provide first aid in a range of settings, including workplace and community environments.
There are no formal prerequisite units for this course. However, to ensure participant safety and successful course completion, students must meet the following requirements:
All students must complete the required online learning and assessment component prior to attending the face-to-face practical session.

These units are embedded within HLTAID011 in accordance with the current training package requirements and are not delivered or assessed as standalone units.
No separate Statements of Attainment will be issued for HLTAID009 or HLTAID010.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid only.
The certification is valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of issue.
