Manual Handling

This non-accredited manual handling training course is designed for individuals working or seeking to work in aged care and disability support environments. The course focuses on developing practical skills to assist aged or physically disabled individuals with daily activities while minimising the risk of injury to both workers and residents.

Participants will learn safe manual handling principles and techniques, including the correct use of common support equipment such as hoists, slings, and wheelchairs. Training emphasises safe lifting, transferring, and moving practices in line with workplace health and safety requirements.

Delivery Mode

Face-to-face training delivered at our campuses in Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

1 day, consisting of theory sessions, practical simulations, and an online assessment component.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a non-accredited certificate of
completion, which is valid for 12 months. Refresher training is required after expiry to
maintain current skills and knowledge.
